Main Functions
- To undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on vehicles of all types to the highest standard
- Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements discovered while working on vehicles, including future servicing/repair requirements
- Record all parts, components, lubricants and consumables used
- Ensure that all time spent on jobs is accurately recorded
- To care for customers' vehicles and property and seek to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction
- Ensure that all work undertaken complies with both Vic's and the vehicle manufacturers' standards
- To carry out all work in a safe and economical way
- To build up your skills to diagnose faults, carry out tests on vehicles and perform permanent and complete repairs
- To share skills and knowledge to develop others within the workshop
- To enhance the reputation of Vic's at every opportunity when interacting with others
Requirements
- Served a recognized training or other dealership approved training scheme to at least basic level
- Obtained an ASE-certification or other adequate qualifications, or be willing to work towards them
- Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles
- Receptive to training and maintaining best practice in manual handling methods
- Organized and methodical approach to problem solving
- A care for and attention to detail
- Undertaken or, willing to undertake, manufacturers' training courses and maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data
